artcurrent show

The top is a photo of a video of me, dancing in the gallery -- taken from the street, looking in -- then projected on the wall. The bottom is a piece sold to the first person to see the show.   jc

Appearances 2013 Mobile #10

I was the last to take my piece,
and when I went in this is what I found.
I like it. They look like friends hanging out. jc

New Year, New Work

It's been a while. Ribbon Mobiles 9 and 10. I'm trying out this hanging mechanism for strength and color. Not the best presentation sites but all I have at the moment. jc

Ribbon Gate

My submission for the "Whimsical Garden Gate" display at the Heritage Museum and Gardens in Sandwich. It is on single strip of steel heated and twisted around a steel armature. jc

Appearances opening

Ribbon mobiles #s 5,7 and 8 at the opening of the Appearances show in Provincetown on April 20.  They are being turned by the breeze through an open window. Perfect. jc

#8 in motion

I should do this every time. You see the shapes and the shadow. I just submitted an application to a show in Provincetown and thought of this afterwards. Maybe they will look here. jc

Mobile #8

Two shots of #8. As it rotates it looks like a different piece. Great shadows as well. jc

mobile #7

Two shots of the #7. Good demonstration of how they change from different viewpoints. jc

mobile #6

I have new filaments to hang the pieces, and a little spinner that I got at fishing supply store, so they can hang and rotate. jc

Mobiles three and four

These are a bit misleading in that the piece on the bottom is less than half the size of the other. jc

Sculptures in Provincetown

My work in the Provincetown Library for the "Appearances" festival. Looks good. Roughly how I envision them displayed. They are good in combination as they seem to interact. jc
